Born Bestattungen (Olten)

Saying goodbye individually in a place of security and far away from the cemetery. This is what the Born family wants to make possible for mourners with their funeral service and their own farewell room.

The desire to establish a new funeral service originated with Gabi Born herself. However, its origins go back many years. As a 12-year-old girl, she came into contact with death for the first time - or not. In the Meisenhard Olten cemetery, there was a thick pane of glass between her deceased aunt and her. When her father died in 2008 and she wanted to say goodbye to him, Gabi Born found herself in front of the same pane of glass. She wanted to touch him one last time and feel his skin - but she couldn't! The glass pane deprived her of any possibility to do so. It was an experience that she has not been able to forget to this day. But she is not alone with this experience. Too often she has witnessed how friends and acquaintances experienced the same thing. Together with her children, Samuel and Gina Born, she now wants to change this.
